CoolFly Returns to Global Digital Trade Expo 2026, Advancing the Commercialization of Personal Flight

HANGZHOU, China — September 23, 2026 — CoolFly is showcasing its latest personal aircraft and flight control technologies at the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE), held from September 23 to 27 at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center.

At Booth 4-T018, CoolFly is presenting the Urban standing personal aircraft, the Dream seated personal aircraft, and its proprietary NA80 dual-redundant flight control system. The company has also set up a Dream flight simulator, giving visitors a hands-on introduction to the aircraft’s control logic and flight experience.

Under this year's theme, "See the Future of AI at GDTE," the expo brings together companies and technologies shaping the next generation of digital industries. As the hometown company at this year's expo, CoolFly is bringing together complete aircraft, core flight control technology, and interactive simulation in one showcase, offering both the public and industry partners a closer look at the emerging category of personal flight.

A More Complete Personal Flight Portfolio

CoolFly’s appearance at GDTE follows a series of international showcases in 2026.

In July, the Dream ST made its appearance at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in the United States, connecting CoolFly with aviation enthusiasts and industry partners from around the world. In September, Dream ST was showcased at IFA Berlin, bringing personal flight to one of the world’s leading consumer technology stages.

Now, back in Hangzhou, CoolFly is presenting a broader view of its technology portfolio, moving beyond a single aircraft to showcase how different vehicle concepts and core systems come together within its personal flight ecosystem.

Unlike larger eVTOL aircraft designed primarily around urban air mobility and passenger transportation, CoolFly approaches the market from a different starting point: one person, one aircraft, one flying experience.

This focus shapes the company’s approach to aircraft configuration, control systems and potential use cases. At GDTE, Urban, Dream and the NA80 flight control system together demonstrate the core building blocks behind that approach.

Urban and Dream: Two Aircraft Concepts, Two Ways to Experience Flight

Urban is CoolFly’s flagship standing personal aircraft and one of the most visually distinctive products on the stand.

Built around a lightweight carbon-fiber structure and a cross-shaped airframe layout, Urban departs from the conventional seated-aircraft format. Its standing flight position provides an open, unobstructed 360-degree field of view, making the experience of flight itself a central part of the product concept.

The Dream series adopts a single-seat, seated configuration and an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing architecture.

Dream ST is designed with a strong emphasis on lightweight construction and portability. Its empty weight is below 115 kg, while its foldable airframe makes transportation and storage more practical.

For users seeking greater performance, Dream Pro expands the platform’s capabilities. It supports a maximum payload of 120 kg and a top speed of up to 100 km/h. With a 70 kg pilot, the aircraft can achieve up to 40 minutes of flight time, extending the performance envelope of the Dream platform.

At the exhibition, visitors can also experience the Dream flight simulator. Using a joystick and a cockpit layout based on the Dream aircraft, visitors can simulate key flight operations including takeoff, hovering and directional control.

The simulator provides an accessible way to understand how a personal aircraft is controlled without leaving the ground. It also gives CoolFly a practical platform for product demonstrations, user education and future training applications.

NA80 Dual-Redundant Flight Control: Building Redundancy Into the Core of the Aircraft

For a manned aircraft, the flight control system plays a fundamental role in maintaining stability, managing aircraft behavior and supporting operational safety.

CoolFly has treated flight control as a core in-house capability since the early stages of product development. At GDTE 2026, the company is presenting its proprietary NA80 dual-redundant flight control system as a standalone technology exhibit.

NA80 is built around a military-grade dual-redundant architecture, with two independent flight control units. Each unit integrates three inertial measurement units (IMUs), enabling the system to continuously monitor aircraft attitude and motion through multiple layers of sensing and redundancy.

During flight, the system continuously monitors operating status. If an abnormal condition is detected, it is designed to evaluate the situation and switch between redundant systems within milliseconds, adding another layer of control redundancy for manned flight.

NA80 also supports multiple global satellite navigation systems, including BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS, as well as dual-antenna RTK high-precision positioning. Together, these technologies enable more precise awareness of the aircraft’s position, attitude and movement.

Developing flight control technology in-house also allows CoolFly to adapt its algorithms and control systems to the characteristics of different aircraft.

Dream ST’s lightweight seated configuration, Dream Pro’s higher performance requirements, and the more dynamic center-of-gravity changes associated with Urban’s standing flight configuration each present different control challenges. By developing both the aircraft and the flight control system, CoolFly can continuously refine system integration through testing and engineering iteration.

From Global Showcases to Commercial Deployment

Bringing personal aircraft to users requires more than the aircraft itself. Compliance, distribution, training and long-term service capabilities are all essential parts of commercialization.

CoolFly’s Dream ST, Dream Pro and Urban have obtained CE and FCC certifications, supporting the company’s continued expansion into Europe, North America and other international markets.

At GDTE 2026, CoolFly is combining aircraft displays, core technology demonstrations and simulator experiences to make personal flight easier to understand and experience. The expo also provides an opportunity to engage with industry partners on product development, potential applications and future market opportunities.

Looking ahead, CoolFly will continue to advance its capabilities across aircraft, propulsion and flight control technologies, while expanding its global distribution network and localized service infrastructure.

The company’s goal is to move personal flight beyond exhibitions and demonstrations and toward a more accessible, practical and real-world experience.
